CDL Research Projects

The Child Development Lab (CDL) is home to a variety of ongoing research projects focused on understanding how children learn, grow, and interact with the world around them. Researchers from multiple disciplines study topics such as early learning, social development, language, and play, bringing current research directly into the classroom environment.

Students, educators, researchers, and families are invited to learn more about our current projects and explore ways to get involved.

Cry Perception Study

Families at the Child Development Lab (CDL) recently participated in the Cry Perception Study, a research project led by researchers from the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment. This study explored how caregivers perceive and interpret infant cries. Click on the “Cry Perception Study” button to learn more.
