Red Door Room: Preschool Program

Half-Day Program

The Child Development Lab (CDL) Preschool Half-Day Program:

  • Enrolls 10 children, ages two and a half to five years
  • Open 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Follows the Columbia Public School schedule
  • Is closed summers, public school holidays, snow days, and public school teacher conference and work days

Enrollment

The part-day program in Red Door Room is for children two and a half through five years of age. The program is designed as a part-day, part-year child care program and serves the purpose of part-time employed parents or parents who want their child to have a group experience.

This program meets from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and will follow the public schools calendar for vacations, holidays, and snow days.

Approximate Red Door Preschool Schedule

9 a.m. Preschool Opens
Breakfast served/activities
9:30 a.m. Breakfast/Put away activities and free choice
10:30 a.m. Circle Time
11:00 a.m. Outside Time
12:00 p.m. Lunch
12:30 p.m. Wash hands, brush teeth, etc.
12:45 p.m. Read books, quiet time
1:15 p.m. Nap time
2:30 p.m. Wake up, bathroom
2:45 p.m. Outside Time
3:30 p.m. Part-time program closes
